Shahi Tukda, a royal dessert which can be traced back to mughlai kitchens, a delectable Mughlai sweet/mithai seeped into the smooth texture of milk/rabri which is aromated from cardamom & saffron.

RECIPE

 

Preparation time : 30-35 minutes

Cooking Time : 25-30 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

 

Ghee/Oil : 500 ml

Bead slices : 08 no.

 

FOR MILK SYRUP

1 litre milk 1/2 cup khoya (optional)

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 tbsp cardamom powder

Few - saffron strands

1 tbsp rose water

FOR SUGAR SYRUP

1 cup sugar

1.5 cup water

1 wedge lemon

 

FOR GARNISH

Sliced almonds

Pomegranate/Anar

Saffron strands

Few rose petals
