KADHAI PANEER

Kadai/Kadhai paneer is one of the most relished and common dishes all across the nation. The name is kadai paneer since it's cooked in a kadai/kadhai, an Indian wok. A dish where paneer cubes/slice cubes are combined with a spicy kadai gravy consisting of onions, tomatoes, capsicum and Indian spices. The whole spices are dry roasted and the best part about dry roasting spices is that the whole house starts smelling of the aromas of the spices. It is so amazing, and appetizes your hunger, You will know what i am talking about once you try this recipe at home.

INGREDIENTS:
For Kadai Masala
1 tbsp peppercorns
1 tbsp cumin seeds
2 tbsp coriander seeds
1 inch cinnamon stick
1 star anise
For Tomato - Onion Gravy
2 tbsp oil/ghee
1 tsp cumin
3 medium onion - chopped
1 tsp ginger - chopped
½ tsp garlic chopped
2 medium tomato - chopped
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
salt to taste
1 cup tomato puree
For Vegetable Sauteing
1 tbsp oil
2 medium onion - sliced
2 medium capsicum - sliced
2 medium tomato - sliced
250 grams paneer - sliced
salt to taste
2 tbsp kadai/kadhai masala
A pinch of dry methi powder
